Buying a property involves a lot of research, as well as an in-depth understand of the location you’re looking for. It also takes time! Which is why husband and wife, Niall and Kenna, came to us – to assist them in the purchase of their first property.
Niall is a local ear, throat and nose doctor and the couple run their own business. They also have three kids and are a very busy family!
The most significant element when Niall and Kenna were briefing us was that they weren’t tied to one specific suburb in Newcastle – they were looking for the right house to suit their family.
From our perspective that’s great, because it means we can find them something more valuable as we have a wider range of areas to look.
But, as Kenna admits, they did have some very specific requirements for their ‘perfect’ home.
“As a family we had discussed what we did and didn’t want and then communicated that with Kylie and the team,” Kenna said. “As the research process progressed that list become even more specific and I worried that we were going to have to compromise at some point.”
Our Buyer’s Agent, Kylie Frearson, spent a lot of time with the couple, to learn what was important to them and their family (including three kids) when looking for a home. Some of the key areas that came up revolved around lifestyle – so ensuring there were beaches nearby, sporting facilities, shops, good schools etc.
As an experienced property buyer, Kylie knows all suburbs in Newcastle inside and out and is passionate about the hidden beauty of many suburbs. Ultimately, she whittled down a list to a few promising properties, with the couple zeroing in on a two-storey property in Dudley.
“We got really excited when Kylie showed us this property – amazingly it ticked all the boxes! So we decided this was the property we wanted.”
In addition to research of potential properties, Property Solutions 101 also provided assistance with the purchase of their property. This property went to auction, which Kylie attended on behalf of Kenna and Niall.
The property was passed in, with Kylie choosing to stop bidding, as she and the client had a purchase strategy that they stuck to.
After the auction Kylie kept in communication with the real estate agent and was able to purchase Niall and Kenna’s dream house – at the right time and for the right price!
“Looking back on the process I now completely understand the value of a Buyer’s Agent. If we didn’t have Kylie acting on our behalf, we would have spent much more than we needed to at the auction – in fact we may never have found this property at all. We were so passionate about this house, but Kylie kept a level head and provided us with her advice, which we’re really glad we took!”
“We are so happy with the process and the outcome and we would definitely use the team again and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a property. We’re thrilled with our new home!”
