There are several ways in which we aim to support our community. Knowing the area so well may be part of the job description, but here at Property Solutions 101, we are proud to be so involved in our local community.
One of our major successes was a concept that’s been in the works for quite some time and we’re proud to have got it up and running this year; The PS101 Challenge. This approach was conducted once each month and consisted of our business ‘battling’ another. The challenges ranged from popular sports such as surfing and basketball, to niche games like darts and table tennis. We even tackled the Ninja Warrior course! After every competition, the losing team donated $200 to a charity of their choice. Throughout the time we’ve been running the PS101 Challenge, we have supported the below charities, who have shared in over $3,000 in donations:
We had so much fun with the PS101 Challenge that we decided to take it to the next level! With the help of our friends Newy Burger Co., we organised a burger eating contest! With the participation of over 20 local businesses, this was – by far – the most participation we have had for a fundraising event yet! We managed to raise just under $6,000 for Charlie’s Run 4 Kids.
As part of our commitment to help the next generation of female sports stars, we are excited to be the major sponsors of the Hunter Academy of Sports AFL Women’s Program for 2018.
We don’t only focus on giving back to the community, but we also try to sponsor specific individuals that capture our attention. Young local swimmer, Chelsea, wakes up at 4:30am every morning to train – we found this very impressive! Her dedication inspired us to sponsor her as she competes in the State Age Swimming Championships.
Another local elite and star of Giants Netball, also impressed us. When we learnt of her efforts in coaching netball clinics, we couldn’t resist sponsoring someone so excited to give back to the Hunter community. We found her passion to pass on her skills to the next generation very worthy of our help!
The youngsters who make up the two Kahibah Football Club teams give it their all and we decided they deserved a helping hand. Our sponsorship of the boys and girls will ensure that the next generation of soccer stars have access to the equipment and uniforms they need.
We want to make sure our help reaches far and wide – not to just small groups like the football club, but an extension to even the more corporate world. Since its establishment, we have been proud supporters of the Surfest Crowdfunding initiative for the Women’s Pro.
This year we decided to enter the Lake Macquarie Speedboating crowdfunding as well! It’s big events like this where we really see just how many people our assistance impacts.
During 2018 we are the front jersey sponsors for both the under 6 and under 9 teams playing in for the Kahibah Football Club.
Each year we support the NICU ball by donating a prize to use in their raffle.
Over the years we have been pleased to support the Foundation by providing donations and support for specific fundraising events.
The team were thrilled to donate to the alma mater of Property Solutions 101 founder, Kylie Frearson, St Clare’s. The donation is to help their Senior Rugby Team head over to Japan to expand upon their skills.
We are thrilled to be helping the next generation of Netball stars create their own Netball team to compete in the local competition.
Each year we support the BOTB event by donating a prize to use in their raffle.
The Evolution Cup is a corporate tag-team style surfing event, with 20 teams made up of employees or business connections of registered companies plus one wild card surfer.
The purpose of this event was to raise funds locally based charity, the Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF). MHF was set up by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Marks diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. Mark is a well-known and highly respected former Newcastle Knights Rugby League player, business and community identity who underwent treatment to fight brain cancer.
MHF raises much needed funds to fund brain cancer research, heighten awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families within the community.
In collaboration with three other local Hunter businesses, we created the Sponsorship Education Seminar in support of female High School students who are on their way to becoming elite athletes.
We invited three elite Australian female athletes to share their experiences – what they have learnt and what they are still learning! Sam Poolman, Katie Ebzery and Amy Harrison spoke about both corporate and personal sponsorship, providing hints and tips for success.
The seminar provided valuable information to the athletes; helping them to understand the importance of sponsorship, sponsor relationships and their own personal brands.
The proceeds from the event were combined into a fund and donated to a local female athlete who attended the seminar.
